Strider Childrens Bike Review and Giveaway

Wow! Summer just got the coolest bike called a Strider. It's a bike that has no pedals or chains on it. The idea behind it is that small children can learn to ride a bike without pedals, chains, and cables easier as they are only focusing on the balancing part of riding the bike. As they get more confident they learn to take their feet off the ground and glide on the bike. Summer has been walking around the house with her Strider. I was so impressed that she figured it out so quickly and confidently. My 12 year old son is having a blast on it too! The seat also adjusts as your child grows and the wheels are foam so the bike is light weight. Love it!

From the website " Tricycles tip over, scrape ankles, and are difficult to pedal. Bicycles with training wheels are tall, heavy, unstable and downright scary for young riders. Both have the potential to cause painful injuries and fear.
Not true with the Strider™.

The Strider™ running bike is free from any cables, chains, sprockets, pedals or protrusions that can harm your child.

And the Strider™ is steady, stable and safe. At the first feeling of instability, your child will instinctively place both feet securely on the ground. So there are no "tricycle tip-overs" or "training-wheel wobbles" that stir-up a fear, hesitancy, or dislike of bike riding.

The Strider’s lightweight design and low center of gravity make it easy to maneuver and control, giving your child a safe and secure feeling. And the bike’s adjustable seat height starts at 11 inches from the ground, accommodating the shortest of legs.

Control is further enhanced with a low and flat handlebar design. Kids can now reach forward rather than up, which gives them better leverage and maneuverability. And as the your child becomes more confident, the Strider’s integrated foot rests provide a place for both feet while coasting along.

The bottom line: The Strider™ running bike gives your child a safer and smarter bike riding experience.

The great folks at Strider are generously giving away a yellow Strider bike to one lucky Simply ME Reader.

Mabels Labels Review

Today I am sharing a company with you called Mabels Labels. They have a product that is indispensable for all of us moms with little ones. They make sticky labels and clothing labels, which are dishwasher, microwave and laundry safe.

When I got my personalized labels with Summer's name on them I was so excited to start labeling everything. I labeled her bottles, sippy cups, all her clothes and more. I can't tell you how many times I have taken her stuff to the sitters or to friends house and have forgotten Summer's stuff there. It's awesome , since they are personalized with her name everything gets returned to me.

Another big plus is the fact that the clothing labels do not have to even be ironed on. Love it.......

Tag-Mates™ are the ideal alternative to iron-on labels. These labels peel and stick to clothing care tags. They do not require any ironing or sewing. Tag-Mates™ are designed to withstand washing, drying, and wear-and-tear. A must for school, camp and daycare! Use them on clothing, jackets and uniforms.

Tag-Mates™ are $21.00 for a pack of 75 labels.

From the website " Iron-Ons will adhere to just about any fabric and are perfect for uniforms, jackets and more. Tag-Mates™ are no sew, no iron clothing labels which peel and stick to the care tags on clothing. Shoe Labels are extra tough and fit nicely on the insole of boots, shoes and more. Bag Tags and Teeny Tags™ are sturdy metal tags that are perfect for labeling school bags, diaper bags and other luggage".

Fiber One Yogurt Giveaway - 3 winners!!!

I love yogurt. Every morning at work I have a yogurt with a crunchy granola bar mixed into it. I have it five days a week and it's a treat. When the folks at MyBlogSpark offered me the chance to review Fiber One yogurt I jumped on the chance.
I used my coupon and bought the Peach flavor. I was a little leery because of the added fiber but the yogurt was creamy and had no after taste. They offer several other flavors such as strawberry, key lime and vanilla. The best part is they are only 50 calories! The only thing I would change would be to make the serving size a little bit larger.

Thanks to the folks at MyBlogSpark three Simply Me readers will win a "Healthy and Fit Weight Management" gift bag that includes a Fiber One yogurt VIP coupon (good for a free 4-pack of Fiber One yogurt), cooler pack, and other storage items for you to carry your snacks and yogurt- it's great for work and other on-the-go activities!

Arnold's Dutch Country 100% Whole Wheat Bread Review

I love wheat bread. I don't buy it to much as the kids wont eat it and will go to waste. Well when Arnolds Bread ( or Oroweat for us Californians) offered a sample loaf of their Dutch Country 100% Whole Wheat I jumped on the chance. My hubby and I actually ate the whole loaf. The bread was fluffy and soft , kind of like white bread. I made a peanut butter sandwich and a ham sandwich for my hubby and it was really good. Offered a sandwich to the kids , but being the picky kids they are I couldn't get them to try it. My hubby and I both give it a thumbs up!

To check if your grocery store carries this bread , click here to find out.

Take care,
Genevieve

Halloween Pics

So did everyone have a great Halloween? Ours was a little low key this year, but still fun. My oldest son Christian dressed up as Hugh Hefner and his girlfriends dressed up as the bunnies. Gotta love teenagers. My 15 year old son and 16 year old nephew were to cool to dress up. My 12 year old son dressed up as a scary guy and made a super cool haunted house with his buddy and scared kids all night. Lastly, my one year old Summer was a cute little ladybug. I was really surprised how fast she caught on to the concept of trick or treating. I do have to say trick or treating is sure different from when I was a kid. There were maybe 20 kids that came to our house.

Here are a couple of pics:

Pur Flavor Options Pitcher - Giveaway

Wow! Can you believe another awesome giveaway!

Today I want to introduce my readers to the Pur Flavor Options Pitcher thanks to the Product Review Place.

My pitcher arrived undamaged and was totally easy to put together. First you just pour your tap water into the pitcher and it filters it for you. While you're waiting you just pop your Pur Flavoring into the top of the lid. Pop the lid onto the top of the pitcher and press the filter button ( so it can tell you when you need to replace it) and you are ready to go. My pitcher came with raspberry flavoring. What is neat about this pitcher is that when you go to pour it, you can either have filtered water or flavored water. Want a little flavor just press the button on the handle once. Want a lot of flavor hold the button in as your pouring and get a lot of flavoring.
They offer the following flavors:
*GRAPE
*LEMON
*RASPBERRY
*PEACH
*STRAWBERRY

What is so cool about these flavors are that they are no sugar and no calories.

A little bit from the website :
About PUR Water Filtration

Environment & Money: Switching from bottled water to filtered and a reusable bottle can eliminate up to 3,200 plastic bottles and save one person up to $600 annually.
Health: PUR filters are certified to reduce many contaminants, including 98% of lead, 99.9% of microbial cysts, 99% of pharmaceuticals and 94% of the weed killer atrazine.
Philanthropy: With each purchase of a PUR filter, a donation is made to Children’s Safe Drinking Water which has, to date, provided over 1.5 billion liters of clean water to needy children and their families around the world.

About PUR Flavor Options

o PUR Flavor Options is the first and only filter for tap water that lets you add a touch of sugar-free, calorie-free fruit flavoring to your water.
