Arnold's Dutch Country 100% Whole Wheat Bread Review

I love wheat bread. I don't buy it to much as the kids wont eat it and will go to waste. Well when Arnolds Bread ( or Oroweat for us Californians) offered a sample loaf of their Dutch Country 100% Whole Wheat I jumped on the chance. My hubby and I actually ate the whole loaf. The bread was fluffy and soft , kind of like white bread. I made a peanut butter sandwich and a ham sandwich for my hubby and it was really good. Offered a sandwich to the kids , but being the picky kids they are I couldn't get them to try it. My hubby and I both give it a thumbs up!

To check if your grocery store carries this bread , click here to find out.

Take care,
Genevieve

Halloween Pics

So did everyone have a great Halloween? Ours was a little low key this year, but still fun. My oldest son Christian dressed up as Hugh Hefner and his girlfriends dressed up as the bunnies. Gotta love teenagers. My 15 year old son and 16 year old nephew were to cool to dress up. My 12 year old son dressed up as a scary guy and made a super cool haunted house with his buddy and scared kids all night. Lastly, my one year old Summer was a cute little ladybug. I was really surprised how fast she caught on to the concept of trick or treating. I do have to say trick or treating is sure different from when I was a kid. There were maybe 20 kids that came to our house.

Here are a couple of pics:

Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Product Reviews

I don't know if I told you all but my sister in law , who is also my best friend is currently battling stage 3 breast cancer. I have always been aware of breast cancer working in OB/GYN, but this is the first time it has hit home for me. Everywhere I look I find pink products that help support breast cancer research.

Master Lock has introduced a line of specially designed "Pink" locks and security products. I was sent a cute pink lock to review. This lock works great on backpacks, luggage, briefcase and computer cases. I gave my lock to my son so he can lock his backpack up. I thought he would be funny about using a pink lock, but when I explained why it was pink he was more than happy to use it. If you need a new lock for the gym, school etc.. you can find this lock here

From the website : To further support the Breast Cancer Awareness efforts, Master Lock will be making a $ 15,000 donation. This is the third year in row that Master Lock has made contributions to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The BCRF is dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime by funding clinical and genetic research worldwide. For more information about BCRF, visit www.bcrfcure.org or call 1.866.FIND.A.CURE

Review - Frittabello - Baby Journal

I got the chance to review this one of a kind Baby Journal from Frittabello. The journal arrived undamaged in a cute package which had a cute little bow tied around. My first impression was that this book would be perfect for either a little boy or girl as it was very gender neutral.

Being a new mommy ( ok she is my fourth baby , but it's been a long time since we have had a baby in the house) I really haven't had time to journal prior to her birth or after her birth. This baby journal makes it so easy to journal as everything is laid out for you. Insert picture here, place ultrasound photo here ( I have so many of those just floating around) and prompts to make it easier for you to journal.

My favorite part of the baby book is in the beginning there is a page with hearts for all the important people in your baby's life to leave him or her little heartfelt messages.

What makes this baby book unique to me is that it allows you to journal all the way until your child's fifth birthday. Wow!

So head on over to Frittabello the next time you need one of a kind baby gift or want one for yourself.
The retail price is $32.95.

The founder of this baby book, Ms.Covello mother of an ADHD child, is an advocate for children with ADHD and will donate a portion
of her book proceeds to organizations that support and advocate for ADHD children and their families

Take care,
Genevieve

PS. Want to you know how the name Frittabello came about? Check out this heartwarming story from the founder of the My Life baby book.

On The Fly - A Simply Chic Bottle Warmer

I had my first child over 17 years ago. Now having a one year old little girl I am amazed everyday by all the nifty baby products on the market today. My new find is the "On the Fly" baby bottle warmer.

The On The FLy bottle warmer is great for parents and babys on the go. My daughter is very picky on having her bottle warmed for her or she refuses to drink it. I tried the bottle warmers that plug into the car but there are so many times I needed to warm her bottle without running to the car. So whether I am at the mall or the baseball field I am always prepared with the "On the Fly" baby bottle warmer.

From the website:
The bottle sock is a two-layered stretch fabric product, which is used with the newer, wider bottles such as ADVENT™, GentleFlow™ from Gerber™ and BornFree™. The warmer is inserted between the two layers of fabric and is intended to slowly heat and maintain a tepid temperature for water with mixed formula or premixed formula. The warmers can be used many times on a flight or on an outing because they maintain their warmth for up to eight hours. Our product provides a hassle-free and electricity-free way to heat your baby bottles. On The Fly™ is packaged in recyclable materials so that we can do our part to help the environment.

This product would make a great baby shower gift. It comes packaged in an adorable little box and comes with the cow print bottle cover and 5 warming packs. The retail price is $30.00.

Stop by and check out this awesome baby bottle warmer for yourself

Review - Harry Connick Jr.- Your Songs

All I can say is Wow! Harry Connick Jr's new cd "Your Songs" just keeps playing in my head. On his new Cd are lots of classic songs remade by Harry with just the right amount of soul and a touch of Harry that make the songs we grew up with fresh again.
Your feet will be tapping and your hips will be shaking as you groove along to his tunes. Some songs are romantic, other big band style and some just make you wanna dance.

Here are the songs he remade below:

Album Tracklisting (Originally performed by):

All The Way (Frank Sinatra)
Just The Way You Are (Billy Joel)
Can’t Help Falling In Love With You (Elvis Presley)
And I Love Her (The Beatles)
(They Long To Be) Close To You (The Carpenters)
Besame Mucho
The Way You Look Tonight
First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (Roberta Flack)
Your Song (Elton John)
Some Enchanted Evening
And I Love You So (Don McLean)
Who Can I Turn To? (Tony Bennett)
Smile (Charlie Chaplin)
Mona Lisa (Nat King Cole)

Check out his website or his Facebook page to see or hear more.

Also, Harry Connick Jr will be on the Racheal Ray show the Week of 10/5.

Hope you enjoyed my review,
Genevieve

Review - How to do Street Magic DVD

I received the " How To Do Street Magic DVD " in the mail and didn't even get to check it out before my son Jakob had the dvd up on the big screen. I was so impressed with the way the dvd teaches you how to do magic. My son was doing magic tricks on us for weeks.

This DVD is great for kids and adults of all ages. It will definitely keep your 12 year old son busy for hours. Just make sure you have several decks of cards for them to practice their magic tricks with.

You can purchase this DVD here.

It retails for $29.95

ABC Gauze Review

I just wanted to share with you all a product I recently got to try called ABC Gauze.
My little girl Summer got a hold of a glass and dropped in on the floor cutting her big toe. First thing I did was wash the glass off and then applied pressure. I started to put a bandaid on her big toe when I remembered the ABC Gauze sample I was given. I applied it to her cut and was impressed on how it adhered to her wound. Gave her a kiss and she was on her way.

This product would be great for home, the car and in your first aid kit.

A little bit about ABC Gauze:

When ABC Gauze makes contact with blood, it turns into a safe, clear gel that stops bleeding, promotes clotting, and forms a protective barrier over the wound. And removal is as easy as A-B-C. ABC Gauze washes off with water and
doesn't hurt like sticky adhesives when you pull them off.

Product Benefits:
Is easy to use

Does NOT cause delayed healing
Dissolves over time
