Strider Childrens Bike Review and Giveaway

Wow! Summer just got the coolest bike called a Strider. It's a bike that has no pedals or chains on it. The idea behind it is that small children can learn to ride a bike without pedals, chains, and cables easier as they are only focusing on the balancing part of riding the bike. As they get more confident they learn to take their feet off the ground and glide on the bike. Summer has been walking around the house with her Strider. I was so impressed that she figured it out so quickly and confidently. My 12 year old son is having a blast on it too! The seat also adjusts as your child grows and the wheels are foam so the bike is light weight. Love it!

From the website " Tricycles tip over, scrape ankles, and are difficult to pedal. Bicycles with training wheels are tall, heavy, unstable and downright scary for young riders. Both have the potential to cause painful injuries and fear.
Not true with the Strider™.

The Strider™ running bike is free from any cables, chains, sprockets, pedals or protrusions that can harm your child.

And the Strider™ is steady, stable and safe. At the first feeling of instability, your child will instinctively place both feet securely on the ground. So there are no "tricycle tip-overs" or "training-wheel wobbles" that stir-up a fear, hesitancy, or dislike of bike riding.

The Strider’s lightweight design and low center of gravity make it easy to maneuver and control, giving your child a safe and secure feeling. And the bike’s adjustable seat height starts at 11 inches from the ground, accommodating the shortest of legs.

Control is further enhanced with a low and flat handlebar design. Kids can now reach forward rather than up, which gives them better leverage and maneuverability. And as the your child becomes more confident, the Strider’s integrated foot rests provide a place for both feet while coasting along.

The bottom line: The Strider™ running bike gives your child a safer and smarter bike riding experience.

Traditional bicycles place too much of the focus on learning to pedal -- skimping on developing your child’s motor skills. 88. I do like the basic concept and I've never actually thought about how bikes with training wheels don't really teach you to ride a bike without training wheels. Training wheels just keep the bike upright, when you loose them, you have to start all over and learn how to balance yourself on the bike. Strider teaches you the main skill you need - how to balance on a bike and a kid can start using it pretty much as soon as they are stable walkers.

  91. Hi, I just subscribed to your blog! I just love it!

I learned that we definitely want one of these for our 2 year old. It is the only balance bike of it's kind as it is the smallest available and has the foot rests for when they gain enough confidence to put their feet up and coast. These bikes promote balance and coordination and many children younger than 2 are able to ride these in just a short amount of time. Wow! We would love to win one for our bike loving 2 year old. He's obsessed with bikes and has been too small to get a 'normal' bike. Thanks for having the contest. Your blog is very interesting and I look forward to reading more in the future.
